Your details, handled properly
Plain English, because privacy policies shouldn't need a law degree. Last updated 26 October 2026.
What we collect
When you register as a teacher we collect what you put in the form: your name, email, WhatsApp number, where you live, your citizenship or visa status as you describe it, your teaching registration status, level, subjects, experience, earliest start date and your CV. Later in the process, with your knowledge, we add notes from our call with you, referee details you give us, and the written reference we prepare. If you use the contact form we keep your name, email and message.
Where it lives
Your details are stored in Airtable, our candidate database, and in our Google Workspace email. Both are reputable providers and access is limited to the small Teach Melbourne team. Our website host keeps standard technical logs. This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers.
Who sees it
Schools see your details only when we put you forward for a specific role, and we tell you before that happens. We never sell your information, never share it with anyone else, and never pass it to third parties for marketing.
What we use it for
One thing: finding you a teaching job. We'll email you about your own file and about roles and practical steps relevant to your move. That's it.
How long we keep it
While your file is active, and for up to two years after our last contact so we can come back to you when the right role appears. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you live in the EU, including Ireland, you have these rights under the GDPR, among others, and we honour them regardless of where you live. Email admin@teachmelbourne.ie and we'll action it within a few days, no forms, no fuss.
Questions
